FORTHCOMING EVENTS
Since first becoming an ensemble in 2000, we have discovered a great wealth
of beautiful and compelling music written for soprano, oboe, 'cello and
harpsichord (or piano) most of which is little known and rarely heard.
Serenata has enjoyed a growing reputation for the quality of their performances
as well as the range and variety of music presented. Our many concerts have
taken place in churches and concert halls in the UK and abroad. In 2004 we
produced a CD of Baroque Music, entitled Mi palpita il cor. There are selections
from this here:
Nisi Dominus aedificaverit domum -
J D Heinichen
Die Elenden sollen essen - Cantata 75 by
J S Bach
Mi palpita il cor - Cantata by G F
Handel
Digitally recorded in the chapel of Bearwood College in August 2002 by
Ransom Recording.

The Bach cantata should be playing soon! Hopefully your sound plugin will allow
you to pause this to play other tracks.

programmes
Serenata generally uses a digital harpsichord/organ, making the group very
flexible and able to play in almost any venue, though an acoustic harpsichord
can be used if preferred. Many works in our repertoire could involve the use of
a piano, if available at the venue.
